Brazilian Girls Photo Shoot

Photo session with Grammy nominated music band "Brazilian Girls". August 10th, 2025. Twenty years after their breakthrough self-titled album, and seven years since the release of their last album "Let's Make Love," the Grammy-nominated band Brazilian Girls continues to create new music in 2025 with a new direction and a new lineup. Currently comprised of founding members Jesse Murphy (bass), Didi Gutman (keys), and Aaron Johnston (percussion), the band is releasing new music (with guest vocalists on select tracks) and performing for the first time publicly in six years. Writer, marketer, and PR specialist Melissa Esposito (founder of Melissa Esposito Writes and Upstate Music + Arts Media) introduced the band to me when there was a need for updated promotional photos. In addition to individual and group portraiture, we employed light painting and shutter drag techniques to create an artful aesthetic.
